Casey Parlett Update: Casey fought a very tough Lightweight Title fight last Friday night, March 5, 2010, here in Reno at Rick Collup’s Ultimate Reno Combat event against D-Lo Heaivilin. The fight was scheduled for five three minute rounds. The crowd was treated to nonstop action both standing and on the ground. Going into the 5th round Casey was ahead on points during this very tough fight. With only seconds left on the clock Casey was caught in a triangle and was forced to tap with 12 seconds left. The crowd was going crazy! Everyone was on their feet yelling for both fighters! Hands down, the fight of the night. Many in the audience was saying it was one of the best live fights they’d seen – even compared to anything the UFC, WEC or Strikeforce has shown us. I agree. Congratulations to D-Lo, he’s a tough kid.

Casey wants a rematch and will be trying to set that up in the near future. Make sure you are there if you want to see two exciting fighters battle it out again. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear something.
